The assembly plant will make around 25,000 Town Cars each year and depending on demand the Lincoln’s will be complimented with around 115,000 to 125,000 Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis luxury vehicles, depending on their demand. This is good news for the workers at St Thomas who have been hearing only gloomy predictions of their plant closing down by 2010 and seen the reduction in shifts and the reduction in workers, especially since over 900 have taken buyouts.

The first Town Car which rolled off the line was delivered to John Stollery, the co-owner of the St Thomas Ford dealership and as the production line continues to produce the luxury and style which we have come to expect from the Lincoln limousines, their tradition can carry on not just in Canada, but in the rest of the world too.
